Lacy is a fantastic beginners horse with her calm and independent nature.  She will take a beginner where they need to go if direction is not forthcoming from the human end of the team.  For experienced riders Lacy takes it up a notch and moves out powerfully with bold gaits and an extremely fast gallop.  

Lacy is a large bodied mare with a huge, well muscled rump.  She's got back!  Although she measures out at 15hh you would swear she is a much taller horse as her overall substance is impressive.

Lacy is our herd leader and the premier colt trainer on the farm.  She controls the youngsters with just a flick of the ear or a look with her eye.  She is never excessive or mean but she earns a great deal of respect from the young horses.  She does all the disciplining and we (the humans) get to do all the loving.  Its an arrangement that has worked out well for all involved.

Lacy had a wonderful filly we named Isabella (by Sundance Kid V) on May 4, 2003.
